“The best places to hear the best stories are the dressing room after a gig and the airport while waiting to board. All these years that I’ve been in this business, I always intended to do something with that and I guess now is the time. Now I can question the socks off my musical friends with a camera present, so these stories can be registered. The search for those intimate moments…that’s the basic of this program.”

In Candy Meets, sax-player Candy Dulfer travels from the north of the Netherlands to North Carolina and from Hollywood to Wales. She visits artist who have become good friends of hers during the years. She interviews them at their homes, stretched on a hotel-bed, on the bus during a tour or in the studio. At the end of each episode they do what they’re passionate about: making music together in a relaxed and informal way.
